I had heard the name and seen the works around the internet many, many times but I have to admit that first I didn’t connect the dots between the name, Jacob Spriggs, and his works. But it was so cool to realize ”Oh yeah, it’s this guy!”

Jacob Spriggs is an American visual artist. Native to Minnesota, but recently located to Olympia, Washington, in search of new surroundings/people in pursuit of a broadening artistic practice. He works with Polaroid instant film and the collection/appropriation of found photographs and his works blurs the lines between a diary and the fictive. I love how he creates diverse ensembles that in my eye combines the celebration of delicate beauty and the harsh, more torn side of life.
