Asako Narahashi, Half awake half asleep in the water

This time we want to introduce an amazing photo series, “Half awake half asleep in the water” by Tokyo-based photographer Asako Narahashi. Every once in a while I have came across some of these mesmerising photos but haven’t had a better knowledge about the story or who took them. The series showcases interestingly the relationship between water and land creating very lonely and somehow desperate, yet beautiful and peaceful photographs. She has taken the majority of the photos from the water which gives the images the stunning, unexpected viewpoint and same time highlights the emotional atmosphere. Just beautiful.

She has exhibited her stunning images in various solo and group exhibitions in Japan, China, USA and across the Europe and her works has also been published in numerous art books.
